Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane [en]

Lord Peter Death Bredon Wimsey is a bon vivant sleuth in a series of detective novels and short stories by Dorothy L. Sayers, in which he solves mysteries — usually but not always murders. Wimsey is an archetype for the British gentleman detective.

This series was written with the permission of, and at the request of, the estate of Dorothy L. Sayers. 'Thrones, Dominations' was begun by Sayers in 1938 but never completed. 'A Presumption of Death' is based on 'The Wimsey Papers', a series Sayers wrote for the Spectator during World War II.
